OpenAir Flight Training: Supporting The Aviation Foundation
The Aviation Foundation promotes education, empowerment and safety inaviation for minorities and women (ages 16-21) with an emphasis on economically under served areas.
Every time you train with OpenAir, the Aviation foundation gets a donation.
Their aim is to increase the population of minorities and women pilots by providing grants and scholarships that enable participants to learn to fly and become advocates in their communities for aviation.
FROM 1940-1952 THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN created 996 pilots.
TODAY, LESS THAN 1,000 African American male pilots work for major airlines, equaling only .07% of male pilots.
